Profile 2004 - Jordan Lyons (QB/ATH)

Jordan Lyons is an impressive looking quarterback from Woodward Academy in College Park, GA that has the ability to play several positions. At 6-5 and 216 pounds with a sub 4.7 forty, he has an excellent frame and runs well. I saw him at the Fellowship Sports Camp two weeks ago and was impressed with his athleticism, but I have not gotten a chance to see him throw the ball yet. At least one school is impressed enough with his ability to throw it around.

"Michigan State has offered me as a quarterback," said Lyons. "Georgia has offered me as an athlete. We run the ball more than we throw it at Woodward, and I play a little bit of wide receiver as well."

If Lyons were to play another position other than quarterback, it would likely be on defense. He indicated that he had no interest in playing tight end, but he has all of the physical tools to play defensive end on the next level.

"My favorite teams right now are probably Maryland, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan State, and Georgia Tech. I've been to camps at Georgia, Maryland, Texas, Clemson, and North Carolina, and I'm going back to Georgia this weekend."
