Blazevich checked out Athens

Georgia offered Jeb Blazevich early in the spring and they had him on their campus for the first time on Friday. Find out his thoughts here.

"I was at Georgia from about 12-9 on Friday and I got a lot of attention from the coaches," Jeb Blazevich told Scout. "Coach [John] Lilly took me on a tour, showed us everything, and I was really impressed. I didn't know much about Georgia, so it was all new to me."

A couple of things really stood out to the 6-foot-4, 230 pound tight end out of Charlotte (N.C.) Charlotte Christian.

"The people and the dorms impressed me the most at Georgia. Coach Lilly, Coach [Mark] Richt, and just the people they are the other coaches are. That really caught my attention.

"The other thing is the dorms. It might sound kind of funny because I do not have a lot to compare them to, but they are very nice. The space, the way the look, and just how top notch they are caught my attention too."

After spending hours with Coach Lilly, Blazevich traveled over to Sanford Stadium to participate in Dawg Night. The attention kept coming there.

"Oh yeah, Coach Lilly was really talking to me and coaching me the whole camp. He talked about how he liked my body type, how I could play tight end right now, and how he likes the way I catch the ball.

"He would talk to me after each route and I learned a lot. I really like his style of coaching because he just wanted me to run the right route and make sure I understood what I was doing right and wrong."

The 2014 tight end entered Athens with an open mind and that remains the same, but he does now have interest in the Bulldogs.

"Georgia is a great school and I will be back for a game there this fall, so I definitely have interest in them now," Blazevich said. "I do not have any leads yet, I am still completely open, but Georgia made a very good impression."

Blazevich camped at LSU on Monday, he will be at Tennessee on Tuesday, and he will camp at Alabama on Friday. He may visit Clemson and Virginia Tech soon as well.

He currently has 14 offers.
