Lorenzo Carter and his teammates Myles Autry and Horatio Walker were guests at Georgia Tech for their game with Presbyterian. ""I had a great time there." Carter was especially impressed with the Georgia Tech defense.
Watching the game made Carter wish he was already playing college ball. "I especially like the linebacker play and I enjoyed watching them warm up." Carter enjoyed watching the play of linebacker Brandon Watts. "He had a nice game at the position Georgia Tech is recruiting me to play."
Carter appreciated the fact that the Georgia Tech coaches took time out of their game preparations to talk to him and make him feel welcomed. "I spoke mostly with Coach Bohannon and he stated that they like me a lot and would very much like to have me as part of their defense. I had fun talkng with him and all of the other coaches."
Not all the schools recruiting Carter want him to be an outside linebacker. Some of the schools are looking at him as a defensive end. "I am 6'5 1/2"- 225 so I should grow some more and be able to play defensive end if that is where they want me to play."
Lorenzo has a good idea of what he'll be looking for in making his college choice. He will be looking for a coaching staff that he feels comfortable with and one that will get the best out of him. "I'd like to stay as close to home if I can but going away is also okay."
Following his visit to Georgia Tech, Carter will also be attending other games during the season. "Right now I know I will be going to games at Alabama and Tennessee." Carter will try to attend games at Miami and Florida State. "I also know that I will be going back to Georgia Tech for another game."
