Matthew Elam (6-foot-6, 300-pounds) is a mountain of a man in the middle of the John Hardin defense. As a sophomore, he was able to come up with 65 tackles and three fumble recoveries. He has been getting attention from several schools, including in-state rival Louisville who he visited for the Governor's Cup contest.

Now Elam is planning to visit Kentucky this weekend.

"I didn't get to go to the Kent State game last weekend," said Elam. "I'm for sure going to the Kentucky game this weekend."

Elam is still in the early stages of recruiting right now. He hasn't had a lot of contact with the Wildcats yet.

"I haven't really been in contact with them much," said Elam. "I have very high interest in UK. I'm hoping to get an offer from them soon," he continued.

Kentucky Scout will have more on Elam after his Kentucky visit.
