Tennessee and Alabama are in a good, early position for Deion Singleton. He's a 2014 free safety from Tallahassee Godby High School.

For Deion Singleton (Tallahassee Godby) he can almost name his school. Only a junior and a member of the next class (2014), Singleton has plenty of time to pick up the offers that he's missing at this time. According to his coach, Ronnie Cottrell, South Carolina, Tennessee, Miami, Florida, Vanderbilt, FIU, FAU, UCF, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Pitt, UCLA, Arkansas, LSU and others have already offered this outstanding free safety prospect.

"South Carolina was first," Singleton said. "I will always remember that one and a memory that I will always cherish. What a feeling. That one means something to me. I can't wait to see them. I haven't been there but I can see myself there."

It's early but Singleton will admit that two teams standout at this time.

"I really like Alabama and Tennessee," Singleton said. "I have been to those schools as well as Georgia Tech and South Florida but Alabama and Tennessee are really looking good to me. They are both recruiting me hard and I really like everything about both programs a lot."

Singleton, 6-foot-2 and 175-pounds, is a player that Cottrell raves about. He just loves his athleticism.

"This kid has offers from almost everybody right now," Cottrell said. "This kid has great length and is just a tremendous all around football player. You should see him play basketball. What a great shooter. He has outstanding hands. Anything he touches he catches. Deion also has great range and can cover the field. He can really adjust to a throw."

Singleton was at Tennessee for their game against the Gators and was in at FSU last week when they played Clemson.

So far on the season he has 13 tackles, one interception for a touchdown and two pass breakups.
