Hot 100 GA OL names leader

Washington County's Seth Watts has been helping his team set more national weight lifting records. He names a current leader and talks more recruiting. Where do the Dawgs fit in?

Washington County, GA is known for two things: Kaolin Mines, and football studs. Producing talents the likes of Robert Edwards and Terrence Edwards of Georgia, and Takeo Spikes of Auburn have made it one of the top football factories in the Peach State.

Offensive Lineman Seth Watts is next in line to become the newest superstar from Sandersville. Watts is a member of the Southeastern Hot 100 and is a three star lineman by We caught up with the mammoth 6'5 305 pounder to see who has made his short of college teams so far.

"I like Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, Stanford, and Notre Dame the most right now. All of them have offered except Auburn and Notre Dame."

Of those 5, does any one of them stand out for Watts?

"UGA is the leader right now. Mark Richt is my favorite coach that I've talked with. He's a great Christian with outstanding morals. I like him a lot."

As for his high school team, the 2003 Golden Hawks are just up to their usual tricks.

"We just got through setting another national weight lifting record last Thursday. We had 54 football players clean 225lbs, and another 28 guys clean 250lbs. Coach Tomberlin is just a great man. I could not see playing for anyone but him. Our success over the years, is all due to Coach Tomberlin."

Watts love for his high school coach will surely transfer to the gridiron, because he wants to give everything he has for the man who made him a star.

"I want to be a leader and win a state title. We have 18 starters back, and I want to create a positive atmosphere for my teammates. That's my goal."

WACO will be one of the favorites in GA class-AAA for 2003. Seth's senior leadership will be a big reason why the "House of Pain" in kaolin country will be rocking as usual, and his college commitment will be a big reason why one group of college fans will be ecstatic as well. will keep you posted on Seth Watts right on through signing day.
