Top Targets React to UGA Win

Georgia beat the No. 2 ranked Florida Gators Saturday afternoon and some of UGA's top targets had their eyes on the game. Find out their thoughts here.

The Dawgs defeated Florida by a score of 17-9 Saturday afternoon and some of their top targets watched the game.

Georgia only has room for a handful of commitments to fill out this 2013 class and some that watched it shared their thoughts with Dawg Post.

  • Tyrone Crowder | OG | Rockingham, N.C.
"At first, Georgia missed big opportunities to take care of Florida early. Then, in the second half and especially in the fourth quarter, they showed up, made some plays, and capitalized. I like how physical Georgia played in this game. The offensive and defensive line played physical. I still have Georgia high on my list and it looks like my official visit there will be after the season when we finish the playoffs."

  • Toby Johnson | DL | Hutchinson, Kansas
"I thought Georgia played great for the plays I got to see. I think it was a huge win for UGA and the loss to South Carolina does not mean anything now. I think UGA will win out and have a chance to play for it all. I could see myself fitting right in and playing there next year."

  • Alvin Kamara | RB | Norcross, Ga.
"I wasn't able to watch the game until the third quarter, but they really got the job done. Not everything went their way in this game, but a win is a win. They won and that is what counts to me. They have been recruiting me hard since they offered me and I know they want to keep the top talent in the state. I think I am one of their top targets. I will be taking an official visit to Georgia, but I do not know when yet."

  • Jonathon Rumph | WR | Goodman, Miss.
"It was a great game and the defense really played great and the offense had their moments too. I think I could come in bring some help to the offense and that is what Coach Ball and Coach Richt are telling me too. I have had interest in Georgia for a long time and I will be visiting them next weekend. I like how they throw the ball and how they try to get the ball to the guys that are making the big plays for them. This was a big win for Georgia."

  • Laremy Tunsil | OT | Lake City, Fla.
"I really thought UGA balled out in this game. They came out with a bang, they shut Florida down, and the defense was pretty dominant. I watched the game and I think I would have a chance to play early at Georgia if I went there. I would just have to go in there and work hard. I was not really surprised by the outcome; I could tell after the first quarter that Georgia was going to win that game. Coach Lilly and Coach Friend came by Friday to check on me, so I know UGA really wants me too."

Montravius Adams was at the Alabama-Mississippi State game, so he does not know much about this contest.
