'Crunch Time is Coming'

After generating a lot of buzz as a junior and picking up big scholarship offers, Devondre Seymour has taken the recruiting process very slow. Things are picking up and he knows he has a big decision to make.

"I'm starting to get on it more now," Devondre Seymour said when asked about the recruiting process. "I know I have not done a lot recently, but crunch time is coming, and I am thinking a lot more about it."

Seymour actually took a visit to North Carolina last week with teammate/friend Donnie Miles who is committed to the Tar Heels.

"North Carolina has been recruiting me pretty hard for a while and I had a good time up there. Their campus is nice, I liked their stadium, and it was pretty cool up there. They have told me I have a scholarship from them."

The first school to verbally offer the 6-foot-5, 310 pound offensive lineman out of Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett was Georgia and Seymour said the Dawgs are still showing interest.

"Oh yeah, I have been talking to Georgia for a while and I would say I talk to them and UNC more than anyone. I talk to Coach [Bryan] McClendon often and I plan to visit them."

He is not sure when he will take his next visit though.

"The coaches at North Gwinnett want us to be focused on the playoffs now, so I will be going anywhere too soon," said the three-star on Scout. "We will see. I know I want to get to Georgia soon though and maybe Florida. I recently talked to them."

Seymour does not really have a timeline for a decision and he is not sure who he will visit officially at this time either. He will decide on that after the playoffs.

North Gwinnett opens up with John's Creek Friday night at home.
