Lester And Tide Turnover Tigers

Safety Robert Lester intercepted a pass in his first career start two years ago in 2010. Today the redshirt senior picked off his 14th career pass in the second quarter tying him for fifth all-time in school history. The 31-yard return to the Auburn 29-yard line set up the five-play drive for the fourth touchdown in the 49-0 slaughter of the Tigers on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Alabama stymied the Auburn (3-9-0, 0-8) passing attack holding the visitors to a paltry 5 completions in 15 attempts for 71 yards passing. Robert Lester finished the regular season with four interceptions and 51 return yards. His 183 career interception return yards rank eighth all-time.

The Foley (AL) High School standout spoke of the defensive domination, the interception, Senior Day and next week's SEC Championship Game against the Eastern Division representative Georgia Bulldogs.
