The Lowdown On A.J. Logan

With a big recruiting weekend coming up for the Missouri Tigers right around the corner, checks in with Tigers commit and planned official visitor, DT A.J. Logan from Columbia Rock Bridge. talks to 2013 DT prospect A.J. Logan  6’2”  311  Columbia (MO) Rock Bridge, who is verbally committed to Missouri, and who updates us on his recruitment.

Logan committed on the spot in early September when Coach Pinkel offered him a scholarship.  He’d always wanted to play for Missouri, and he’d done the off-season work coming into his senior season to elevate his play and impress the Missouri staff.

This weekend, Logan will join many of his future teammates on their official visits to Missouri.

Logan took a little break following his senior season, but he’s beginning workouts this week in preparation for his arrival at Missouri. Logan is 100% solid Mizzou.   He doesn’t have any other visits scheduled.

“I’m a man of my word,”  explained Logan.  “I’m committed!”

“I can’t wait to get to Missouri and start working out,”   continued Logan.   “I’m real excited to play for Coach Pinkel and Coach Kuligowski.   That’s a big reason that I’m going there, because of Coach Kul.  He gets defensive linemen ready!  He has to be one of the best defensive line coaches in the country.”

Logan is working his way toward a 400-pound bench press.  He hopes to get closer to that level by the time he arrives at Missouri.  He’s already squatting over 500 pounds, and he’s set his sights on increasing that amount, as well.   Logan confided in me that he measures just under 6’2” in his socks, but that he has a 6’7” wing-span.

“That helps a lot,”  explained Logan, regarding the length of his reach.   “Because when we get our hands on them and we lock out, then they can’t get their hands on us because of our longer reach.” will have more on A.J. Logan later.
