Tramel Terry committed to UGA on Friday, capping a hectic recruiting period that he was happy to see come to an end.
"It got a little crazy at times," said Terry.
South Carolina's top prospect verbally committed to Georgia last year, decommitted a few months later, then recommitted in March.
Despite speculation of a flip to Clemson, Terry stayed true to his word.
"I signed my financial papers with Georgia on Friday, it felt great. I just followed my heart and made the best decision for me. I am just ready to join the team and win a national championship," he said.
Terry had a small signing ceremony Friday morning with friends and family at Goose Creek High School.
That night he was named South Carolina's Mr. Football at the North-South All-Star Football Game Awards Night at Myrtle Beach High School.
"It was amazing the win the award," he said.
This week Terry is in Spartanburg, S.C., preparing for Saturday's Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
"I can have some fun now. I don't have to worry about college coaches calling me all day, I can just be a kid now," said Terry.
Terry knows he only has a few more weeks to enjoy himself, before he has to get serious again.
"I am just trying to enjoy every minute of this," he said.
Terry will play in the Under Armour All-America game on January 4, then move to UGA to begin classes the following week.
