Florida DL names favorite after Big 12 visit

Reggie Meant is a talented defensive lineman from Ida Baker High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Reggie Meant took an official visit to Washington State last weekend, and he took visit number two this past weekend -- to Kansas State. He talked about it.

"My visit to Kansas State this weekend went really good. We went on a tour of the school and I met some academic counselors. I met all of the coaches, they were really cool, they ended up offering me."

Meant, 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, saw WSU the week before.

"I visited Washington State last week I really liked that school as well."

Despite two good visits so far, Meant says another school actually has the lead to land him right now.

"Iowa State is my favorite right now. I've built a great relationship with their defense line coach. They have been recruiting me for awhile so I have just always favored them. Kentucky is also interested in me, they want me to come out there for a visit."

The standout defensive lineman has two visits remaining before he'll be ready to make a final decision.

"I'm also going to visit Iowa State on the 11th, and NC State on the 26th."
