UA Game: Black Team Pos. Rankings

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Black Team is loaded with talent and after watching them practice, the Scout Team ranks the prospects by position in this feature.

1. Christian Hackenberg - Committed to Penn State
2. Cooper Bateman - Committed to Alabama
3. Zack Greenlee - Committed to Fresno State

Why Hackenberg: The highly touted signal caller out of Virginia traveled South and showed he is one of the best in the country. He stood tall in the pocket all well, the ball jumps out of his hand, he showed touch and velocity, and he spins a good ball.

Running Back

1. Alvin Kamara
2. Kelvin Taylor - Committed to Florida

Why Kamara: He showed the speed and explosiveness all expected him to show, but he also showed some power, balance, and hands out of the backfield.

Wide Receiver/Tight End

1. Robert Foster - Committed to Alabama
2. O.J. Howard - Committed to Alabama
3. Rashaad Samples - Committed to Oklahoma State

Why Foster: He is an elite athlete that is a great receiver and he may even be a better safety. He has good size, speed, and does a great job of going up to get the ball at its highest point.

Offensive Lineman

1. Grant Hill - Committed to Alabama
2. Hunter Bivin - Committed to Notre Dame
3. Denver Kirkland

Why Hill: Alabama has a very big and versatile OL in Hill. He could be a guard that can pull and get to the second level or a right tackle in Tuscaloosa.

Defensive Lineman

1. Robert Nkemdiche
2. Greg Gilmore - Committed to LSU
3. Elijah Daniel

Why Nkemdiche: There is not much left to say about the top prospect in the country. Not many number ones enter an event like and live up to the billing, but he did just that.

1. Matthew Thomas
2. Ben Boulware - Committed to Clemson
3. Isaac Savaiinaca

Why Thomas: He got better as the week went on. He is very athletic, he showed great range, and although he needs to add weight to his frame, he played off blocks well and tackled well.

Defensive Back

1. Vernon Hargreaves - Committed to Florida
2. Vonn Bell
3. Keanu Neal - Committed to Florida

Why Hargreaves: He entered this week with a lot of pressure to perform and he did that. He may not have may one or two plays to blow anyone away, but he had numerous pass break-ups, he showed loose hips, and he covered with the best of them.

Amy Campbell, John Garcia, Jr., Bill Greene, Jason Higdon, Yancy Porter, Chad Simmons, and Geoff Vogt contributed to this feature.
