Tide impress DT

The Alabama Crimson Tide made a lasting impression on the Bostwicks on Jaynard's official visit this past weekend. The Hurricane's are up next followed by Florida.

Whether Jaynard Bostwick (Port St. Lucie, Fla./St. Lucie Centennial West) signs with Alabama or not, he and his family will have long lasting memories of what they described as a fantastic weekend in Tuscaloosa. According to his father, Bernard Bostwick, the Crimson Tide have made things very interesting because most assumed that this four-star defensive tackle would stay in-state.

"The visit was great and much more than we expected," said his father. "What great hospitality. It was our first time up there. Alabama showed us everything."

Mr. Bostwick said they were impressed with everything that Alabama had to offer.

"Everything stood out. Everything. They are so organized and kept together. Everyone is real tight, everyone was all together. They have a good family bond up there. We were also impressed with the facilities, dorms and professors. They opened the door and went all out.

"We walked away and realized that Alabama is the real deal. It's just not all about football. They are big on the degree. We are so glad we went there. It was a great experience that we will never forget."

Bostwick, 6-foot-4 and 270-pounds, will not visit Miami and Florida. Next up are the ‘Canes (1-25). There, he has a cousin who he's very close to in linebacker Thurston Armbrister.

"Thurston is my wife's, sister's son," his father said. "They grew up just like brothers. Of course Miami is so close and we have family there. Although I will admit we haven't spent that much time at the school on campus."

The Gators get his final visit on the final visit weekend (2-1) before national signing day.

"That's it. Jaynard has narrowed down things to these three schools," said his father. "He doesn't say much. He wants to take these trips and decide. Jaynard will wait until signing day and announce at a ceremory at his school."
