The offer was extended to Baker by Georgia Tech Coach Joe Speed - with the offer coming in the past few days. "He told me that Georgia Tech really wants me to be a part of their team and they are making me a priority in their recruitment of defensive players."
Baker was happy to get the offer. The fact that Georgia Tech is close to home is a plus for Baker. "They are recruiting me to play either side of the ball. I like defense better so that is where I would prefer to play if I went to Georgia Tech."
Coach Speed let Baker know that they are moving back to a 4-3 defense. "He said they are looking for defensive tackles and that is where they want me to play."
Now that he is done with his junior season, Kendall will be taking a few visits. He has two visits planned. "I will be taking an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech and then the following Saturday I will be going to Alabama for a Junior Day visit."
The early interest from Tech puts them in good shape with Baker. "Any team that expresses an early interest in you lets you know they really like you and value you as a part of their team." While he doesn't have a favorites list, the offer from Tech puts them in a good position with Baker.
Kendall still has plans to make his college choice before the first game of his senior season.
