Childhood Favorite Has Work To Do For Bell

Blount OL Wilson Bell discusses his visit to Auburn this weekend and who's on top for him at the moment despite his commitment to UCF.

Prichard, Ala—This weekend could be a huge moment in the life of Blount offensive lineman Wilson Bell. Growing up a fan of the Auburn Tigers and always wanting to play in orange and blue, Bell will take an official visit to the Plains to meet with Coach Gus Malzahn and his staff and talk football. It would seem like his recruiting would be all over but the shouting after getting an offer from Auburn earlier this week, but that's not the case at all says Bell.

"I am looking forward to...just like I said with Florida State this like a real big business trip to me because Florida State is my No. 1 as of now so I am going in just to see should if I reconsider," Bell tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "I am still committed to Central Florida, but right now Florida State is at the top and I don't see anything changing that."

A frequent visitor to Auburn throughout high school, the 6-4, 295 Bell was one of the top offensive linemen at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic and at the time was a recent commitment to George O'Leary and Central Florida after visiting Orlando in November. Adding offers from Florida State and Cincinnati during December, Bell took his visit to Tallahassee two weeks ago and fell in love with the Seminoles.

Now he'll have to see how FSU holds up against his longtime favorite as he prepares to visit Auburn this weekend. With the Tigers looking to sign a very small offensive line class this year he notes that could help, but the main thing he wants to see is if Auburn feels right once he gets to campus.

"Auburn is my dream school so it is a place I always wanted to go and visit," Bell says. "Being recruited by Auburn is something I always wanted to do so I trust God to help me make my decision and He is finally giving me an opportunity to do something I always wanted to do."

"I am going to go down there, see what they have as far as the new coaching staff and see if I should still be interested in what they have to offer," he adds. ""It is good to know I am one being considered by them. It is a great honor because Auburn is a such a prestigious school. As of now it is all business. I am not going there to have fun, I am going there to see what they have to offer."

Planning to visit Ole Miss next weekend before making his final decision, Bell says that while Auburn still has a shot to sway his decision, things will have to go really well to change his mind at the moment.

"I really can't tell you because Florida State is No. 1," Bell notes on what it would take for Auburn to move to the top. "Honestly, it will have to be wild."
