OG Tyrone Crowder Profile
After a long recruiting process, Tyrone Crowder committed to Clemson on Signing Day.
"It's been a tough decision, but next year I'll be playing football at Clemson University," Crowder said on ESPNU.
The Tigers started recruiting the Richmond County star four years ago and that played a big role in his decision.
"They stayed with me since ninth grade," said the 6-foot-3, 325-pound Crowder, who chose Clemson over Georgia. "I built a longer relationship and a bond (with them). They didn't try to put too much pressure on me. They just let me feel through the recruiting process."
Previous trips to Clemson also helped him make his decision.
"I got a chance to go on campus and talk to some players," he said. "I felt comfortable around them and loved the atmosphere."
Now that his decision is out of the way, Crowder is looking forward to his first game as a Tiger.
"It's going to be awesome to have that experience to run down that hill in Death Valley in front of all those people and fans," he said. "It's going to be great."
Crowder is a four-star prospect and the 4th-ranked offensive guard in the 2013 class.
