"We've got one quarterback who can sit in the pocket," Chaney said, "and another who is like a piece of clay who I'm looking forward to working with.
"There are three big offensive linemen that can really set the pocket, two wideouts who can give you a vertical stretch and make plays, a tight end who everyone in the country wanted, and a physical running back who the SEC won't slow down."
The new UA quarterbacks coach didn't mind talking a bit more on his new additions to the meeting room, Autin Allen and Damon "Duwop" Mitchell.
"Austin is really a competitor," he said. "He's a leader and has all of the intangibles. I haven't had a chance to work with him, but he probably has the mechanics, too.
"Duwop, that kid wins. He can throw the football and he can run it. He's probably going to be unique as far as what I've had before. I haven't dealt with many who can do all the things he can."
Chaney made it clear that although he hasn't been told about specific recruiting duties going forward, the entire country was his territory.
"I'll go where Coach (Bielema) wants, but what I want to do is be instrumental in getting quarterbacks. Historically, I have gone where there are quarterbacks."
Bielema was excited over the quarterbacks, too.
"He's got a chance to be an exceptional player," Bielema said of Allen. "He's a very good athlete. He's got great decisions and he has an ability to throw the football in all types of routes and all types of touches on the ball. "There is a reason Fayetteville has been very successful, and he is a big part of it.... The receivers don't have to make many adjustments. He came here to chase a dream and we are very excited about Austin."
Mitchell was committed to Georgia Tech, but flipped to Arkansas after visiting this past weekend.
"He really fell in love with the place," Bielema said. "He has great athletic ability, you see him throwing to his right and then moving and throwing to his left.
He does a great job of converting and making some things happen in the air, but also with his feet. He can throw back over the middle and then here you see him in a 3-1 set. He only played QB really for two years, but a guy we are excited about."
