Gators get top OLB

Florida offered one of the top outside linebackers in the country in January and he committed to them on Saturday.

Not too long after receiving an offer from the University of Florida, Christian Miller decided he wanted to be a Gator.

"I have committed to Florida," Miller told Scout Saturday afternoon. "I feel like Florida is the best fit for me in football terms, academically, and spiritually. I feel at home when I am at Florida."

Miller is a 6-foot-4, 202 pound outside linebacker out of Spring Valley, S.C. and he is a very highly recruited prospect. He had over a dozen offers entering this weekend.

He is happy to part of the Gator family now.

"It feels great. The coaches reactions were awesome when I committed. They were fired up. I'm excited to start recruiting even more players. Coach Lawing played a big part in it ultimately because our relationship plus he's a great coach."

Scout currently ranks Miller as the No. 4 OLB in the country.

Chad Simmons is currently a National Recruiting Analyst for FOX Sports/Scout. He started with Scout in 2003 and then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become South Recruiting Manager.
