"It was great, that was my fifth time being at Florida, so it was really comfortable. I was just talking to the coaches, I had a chance to meet Coach (Joker) Phillips for the first time," Patrick said.
"I named Florida my early leader."
For Patrick, there is a lot to like about the Florida program.
"I feel very comfortable at Florida, I have a good bond with the coaches and it's a place I could see myself playing," he said.
"They just tell you how it's going to be. They don't sell you on things that aren't going to happen when you get there."
"They can use me a lot of different ways, they have the I-formation that I learned in high school, they can use my versatility in the shotgun, lot of things."
The Timber Creek (Orlando, FL) standout also visited Miami earlier this year and said he was impressed with what he saw.
"I had a really nice time down there. They're building a lot of new stuff so campus is nice, the facilities are nice," he said.
While the Gators sit in the driver's seat for the standout sophomore, he is clear that he won't be committing anywhere until he is confident in his choice – and it will be awhile.
"I'm to wait awhile because I don't want to be that guy that decommits and commits again, I want to make sure my decision is the right decision the first time," Patrick said.
Next, Patrick plans to visit Florida State in the next few weeks. Stay tuned to FOX Sports NEXT for the latest.
