Things not as clear for McMillan

Raekwon McMillan has had a group of schools in order over the past few months, but is that still the case? One school is making a big push for this Scout100 linebacker and you can get the latest here.

"I have slowed things down a little bit and things are a little different right now," Raekwon McMillan told Scout.

The difference right now is McMillan does not have a top school or a list of schools in order that he is comfortable releasing.

Ohio State has been in that top spot for some time, but there is a school in the SEC that is making a push for this elite linebacker.

"I am in SEC territory living down here in Georgia and Alabama is making a lot of noise right now. I went over there a couple of weeks ago and it was great.

"Kirby Smart is a great coach and a great recruiter and I like him a lot. He has a great defense every year and having a chance to play beside Reuben Foster at linebacker would be great too. Alabama is just a great program with all their tradition, the way they win, and they are coming on strong for me."

That doesn't mean the Crimson Tide has passed the Buckeyes for the No. 1 spot on McMillan's list.

"There is no order for me right now," he said. "I am really going to know after going to know just who exactly is my top school after my visit to Ohio State in April."

The 6-foot-2, 242 pound linebacker out of Hinesville (Ga.) Liberty County will trip to Columbus very early in April and he already knows what to expect and who he will spending a lot of time with while there.

"I have a visit to Ohio State scheduled for April 1-3. I have a great time when I am there and I really like how the Ohio State coaches are recruiting me. I talk to four or five of them and they are kind of reeling me in right now. They have great history, they have great coaches, and they are high on my list. I am looking forward to this visit."

A school that has been high on his list over the past 9-10 months is Clemson too. What is he thinking about the Tigers right now?

"Clemson is still up there too. I like the family-vibe I get every time I go up there. There is never a time I feel alone up there and I like that feeling. The atmosphere makes me real comfortable there."

It is not just a two or three school race for this four-star linebacker, but Alabama and Ohio State appear to be battling it out for that top spot right now.

McMillan will still likely make his decision late in the process, but it may be a little earlier than he originally thought it would be.
