La Porte TX OL Michael Leagan is a 2014 athlete that has began to receive his share of attention this spring from college football coaches. The latest college football program to show interest is Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.
"I hear from Coach Hudspeth weekly," Leagan stated when asked which coach contacts him. We exchange messages ever week recently on Facebook and he asked me to come to the Louisiana-Lafayette junior day camp this weekend."
Leagan plays tackle at La Porte High in Texas, but the Cajuns and others are looking at him as a center.
"I play tackle in high school, but Louisiana-Lafayette and others are recruiting me at the center position," Michael said. "Coach Hudspeth and other coaches say I have good feet and that I should be able to handle the center position at the next level."
While the Cajuns are Michael Leagan's latest suitor, he has a hand full of programs that he considers to be recruiting him hard.
"I would say that Navy, North Texas, UTSA, SMU and Louisiana-Lafayette have been the most serious in recruiting me at this time," Leagan mentioned. "Navy is my first offer, so they have been recruiting me harder then the others at this time, but those schools have talked to me weekly and invited me to junior days or spring games."
Leagan is an excellent student,he currently holds a 3.7 gpa in his core and has recently taken the SAT. The junior lineman is currently making a list of summer camps to attend, but he has made a decision on a few at thie time.
"I'm going to camp at UTSA, North Texas, Louisiana-Lafayette and SMU at this time," Michael stated. "I will probably go to most of the camps in state because I just don't have the time to travel out of state that much. I will go to Louisiana-Lafayette this summer because they aren't that far from home."
