E11 Columbus: Recruiting Notebook

News and notes from today's Elite 11 participants including J.J. Cosentino, Deshone Kizer, Brandon Dawkins, Brandon Harris, a few talented underclassmen and more.

- Florida State commit J.J. Cosentino put to bed any rumblings or rumors that he may look at other schools. Even though other programs have been into the school this spring, he says he is 100% Seminole and is firmly committed.

- Four-star Toledo Central Catholic signal caller DeShone Kizer will visit Alabama and LSU next week. It is the Tide on Thursday and the Tigers on Friday. He is also staying in contact with Ohio State and Notre Dame, two schools who have not offered, but are still recruiting him. He does not have a decision date in mind.

- Oaks Christian's Brandon Dawkins came all the way out from California. He says he is happy with the offers he has and holds Notre Dame, one of his current offers in high regard. However, a new team to start showing increased interest recently is USC. He visited Ohio State on Friday and hopes to continue the process with the Buckeyes as well.

- Parkway High (La.) star Brandon Harris also visited Ohio State on Friday. He will announce a decision on July 18th. He currently has a top seven of the Buckeyes, . His next visit will be to Texas A&M.

- Pope John XXIII (NJ) freshman Sonny Abramson has early offers from Rutgers and South Florida. He plans to camp at Penn State and possibly Boston College, but says he will not be at many others.

- Ithaca (Mich.) rising senior Travis Smith has offers from schools like Toledo, Northern Illinois, Central Michigan, Bowling Green and others. He will camp at Oklahoma State, who has been sending him more mail, Nebraska, Duke and possibly Indiana.

- Marion Local (Ohio) product Adam Bertke holds offers from Toledo and Illinois, but the Illini recently landed a quarterback commit. As a result, Bertke will camp in hopes of landing more offers. He will be at Purdue, Pittsburgh, and possibly Indiana.

- John Wolford of Bishop Kenney (Fla.) has 14 offers and says he will sit down Monday with his dad and his coach to decide where they will camp and visit.

- Green Bay Ashwaubenon (Wisc.) junior to be James Morgan will camp at Arizona State, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and potentially Stanford. He has performed well at the last two Elite 11 Regionals we've seen him at in Chicago and now here in Columbus.

- Butler (NC) rising junior Anthony Ratliff holds a Clemson offer, but is also excited to visit North Carolina, a school he holds in high regard.

- Broken Arrow (OK) rising senior Coleman Key says he has offers from Arkansas State, Colorado State, Illinois, Toledo, Western Michigan and Houston. He is not sure which camps he will attend yet and says he will most likely make a decision before his senior season starts.
