June's a big month for Lambert

Davonte Lambert has an impressive offer list and this top Junior College defensive lineman will see three schools on his list in June. Get the latest here..

"I have pretty big plans this summer," Davonte Lambert told Scout. "I will be visiting Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. My visit to Georgia will be unofficial, but the other two will be official visits. I will be pretty busy this month."

The visit to UGA will happen later this week and he is looking forward to getting back to Athens.

"I took an official visit with my mom when I was in high school, so I already know a lot about Georgia. I really liked my time there before and I know I will this time too. I have been in contact with Coach Richt and Coach Grantham from UGA, I like them both, so I am looking forward to getting back over there."

After his visit to Athens, the 6-foot-3, 278 pound defensive lineman will take a visit to The Swamp.

"Florida has been recruiting me really hard for a while now, so I really want to get down there. I really like the coaches there and how hard they are recruiting me. They really keep up with me, they never give up, I like how they don't down any other schools. They just recruit the right way. It will be my first time at Florida, so it is pretty exciting."

The official visit to Florida will happen on the weekend of June 15 and one week later, Lambert will travel to Knoxville.

"I will be at Tennessee for an official visit the week after I visit Florida. I have been talking to Coach Stripling a lot and I really like him. He gets me excited when I talk to him - I really like his energy. He is a little different from the other coaches I talk to and I like that."

Another SEC school could get a visit in July.

"Auburn is a school that is recruiting me as hard as anyone and I would like to visit them. They offered me a few weeks ago and they have been on me hard since then. I may visit them in July, but I do not have anything set up yet."

Although it may appear that Lambert is destined for the Southeastern Conference, he made it clear that all schools that have offered him are still in the game.

"I honestly do not have any leaders," Lambert said. "Every school is the same for me. I may have some top schools at the end of the summer because I will probably make my decision during the season.

"I will look for a school that offers me a great education, a school where I can play early, and a coaching staff that can better my game. Those things will play into my decision."

Lambert plans to enroll the school of his choice in January 2014 after he completes his time at Georgia Military in December.

He will have three years to play two.
