DT Lands UGA Offer

Abu Lamin is turning into one of the hottest Juco prospects in the country. He recently visited Arkansas and landed scholarship offers from Florida and now Georgia.

Abu Lamin is a three-star defensive tackle prospect from Fort Scott (Kansas). He picked up a scholarship offer yesterday from the University of Georgia.

"The Georgia offer is big. I definitely like the level of football they play," Lamin said.

Lamin, 6-foot-5 and 315-pounds, now has offers from Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Oregon State, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Arizona State and others. The Gators offered just before the Dawgs.

"The Gators are a good team. They compete every year."

Lamin just had a great visit to Arkansas.

"The academics are great," Lamin said. "I like the new facilities and the football support."

He will trip to Florida (June 14-16) and then South Carolina (June 21-23).

He is from Hope Mills, N.C. Lamin will name a top eight later today.
