Dukes Looking Forward to Dawg Night

ATHENS - Tucker linebacker Detric Dukes had a conversation with head coach Mark Richt on Thursday that intensified the Louisville commit's anticipation for Dawg Night.

The 6-foot, 220-pound inside linebacker committed to Louisville in mid April and made the six hour drive to visit with the Cardinals' coaching staff Friday.

"I talk to Louisville a lot," Dukes said.

Despite his commitment, Dukes hasn't ruled out his option to speak with other coaches. "I talked to Coach Richt recently, and he was pretty chill," Dukes said. "We just talked about Dawg Night."

Dukes has already visited Auburn, Vanderbilt and Louisville multiple times and has plans to visit Ohio State and Georgia in the coming months. Ohio State offered in May, but Dukes is still waiting for an offer from Georgia. That offer could come at Dawg Night in July.

"I'm pretty excited about going to Dawg Night," Dukes said. "It will be a good chance for me to show all the coaches what I can do."

In the mean time, Dukes is working to improve his game alongside his Tucker teammates.

"Things are going well with summer workouts," Dukes said. "I've just been going to practices."
