Dukes to the Dawgs

Detric Dukes visited Georgia a couple of weeks ago, then picked up an offer from the Bulldogs last week, and on Sunday evening, he switched his commitment from Louisville to Georgia...

There has been some chatter about Detric Dukes and how solid his commitment to Louisville was after he got an offer from Georgia late last week.

The 6-foot-1, 220 pound inside linebacker out of Tucker, Ga. visited Georgia a couple of weeks ago and he made the switch to UGA on Sunday.

"I have committed to Georgia," Dukes said. "Georgia has it all. I like the coaches and it is a great program."

Dukes spent a lot of time with the UGA coaching staff during his visit to Athens on June 6. That bond combined with the opportunity to play for the in-state program was too good to pass up.

He originally committed to Louisville on April 15.

Scout ranks Dukes as the No. 28 inside linebacker in the country.
