Leonard Floyd could be special. Time will tell, but he has a very, very, very good year in prep school. That's a leading indicator that he could have an immediate impact in Athens. Leonard Pope and Danny Ware had similar seasons coming into their freshmen seasons at Georgia. Floyd's first year will probably be more like Pope's or less than that considering the amount of depth at outside linebacker at Georgia.
But I would not be surprised in the least if Floyd had a breakout year – I would not be surprised at all.
His length helps him rush the quarterback, and that's his strength. He's added weight, too, so that year in prep school should help him immediately at Georgia. If he has the ability to play above 250 pounds people everywhere around the SEC will know who Floyd is sometime soon.
