Brown Picks Georgia

A day before a slew of major recruits show up for Georgia's huge game with LSU this weekend, the Bulldogs got their first commitment in seven weeks.

Keyon Brown, a four-star defensive end from Hardee High School in Wauchula, Fla., picked Georgia over Clemson, Florida State, Tennessee and Miami. The commitment gives the Bulldogs their 17th verbal commitment of the 2014 recruiting cycle.

"Georgia is a place I can be comfortable," Brown said of picking Georgia. "The environment, it's like home almost. It's country, but there are things to do if you get bored. I like the coaches, and they have a great defense."

The commitment will keep the Bulldogs firmly within the top ten of Fox Sports' recruiting rankings. The Bulldogs are expected to sign around 22 prospects in their 2014 class.

Brown indicated that Georgia was his leader earlier in September. He is expected to outside linebacker in Georgia's 3-4 system.
