Junior Michael Bennett had a right knee menisectomy performed by team physicians at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. He is expected to return to the team at some point this season following completion of a rehab program, according to UGA Sr. Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine Ron Courson.
Redshirt sophomore Justin Scott-Wesley also underwent surgery Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital to repair an injury to both menisci in his right knee. He will have ACL reconstruction at a later date which is still to be determined. A full recovery is anticipated and he should be able to return to football without limitations with start of 2014 fall practice, according to Courson.
Sophomore tailback Keith Marshall will require right knee ACL reconstructive surgery which will be performed within the next three weeks.
