TE Jackson Harris Profile
Columbia Central High School [Tennessee] junior Jackson Harris "enjoyed" his first trip to Clemson. The 6-foot-5, 240-pound tight end visited for the Boston College game.
"I got to go up a day early, because we had a bye week. I got to meet with the coaches and look around. I really liked it," he told CUTigers, during a recent interview.
Scout.com ranks him as the No. 14 tight end prospect in the class of 2015.
"I looked on campus, met with the coaches. They showed me around to everything," Harris said. "Then, I watched their walk-thru. I saw the facilities and everything, the walk-thru, that's about it. Then, I went to the game on Saturday."
Robbie Caldwell was with him for a good portion of the day on Friday.
"I talked to about every single coach. I got to talk to everybody but Dabo [Swinney]," Harris said.
His experience on Saturday was also a good one.
"It was pretty typical, but I really enjoyed it," Harris said. "It was a great atmosphere and I really liked it."
Harris got a little more specific about what he thinks about fall Saturdays in Clemson.
"Death Valley, I really liked it. It's loud. It's a great football atmosphere. I really just liked everything about it. I really liked it a lot," Harris said.
In addition to the Clemson visit, he's visited Vanderbilt and Ohio State. Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt have offered.
"It's kind of early. I'm kind of waiting until after the season until I start forming that stuff. Everybody is pretty even right now," Harris said.
