FLOWERY BRANCH - Georgia returned to the Atlanta Falcons' indoor facility for the second straight afternoon as they continue preparations for Saturday's game at Georgia Tech.
The Bulldogs (7-4) practiced in full pads for the third consecutive day to work on defending the spread option attack of the Yellow Jackets (7-4). This year, Tech is ranked fourth nationally in rushing offense at 316 yards/game. Both teams have shown the ability to pour on the points this season with the Bulldogs averaging 37.9 points/game while Tech averages 36.8.
After the two-hour practice, Georgia coach Mark Richt said the Bulldogs had another productive indoor session.
"It was a great workout; we got all the work in," Richt said. "Also, it was good to be inside and out of those 20 mile per hour winds."
Georgia has won four straight in the Tech series and 11 of the 12 meetings under Richt. Last year, third-ranked Georgia cruised to a 42-10 win over Tech at Sanford Stadium to retain the Governor's Cup trophy.
ABC will broadcast Saturday's Georgia-Georgia Tech contest with kickoff set for 3:36 p.m. ET.
