The Bulldogs held a two-hour workout on the Woodruff Practice Fields in full pads. Tuesday's session was the third of seven scheduled practices in Athens, which are set to conclude on Saturday. After a four-day break for Christmas, the Bulldogs will reconvene in Jacksonville on Dec. 26 for final preparations for the Gator Bowl against Nebraska on Jan. 1.
Both the Bulldogs and the Cornhuskers are 8-4. Georgia defeated Nebraska 45-31 in the 2013 Capital One Bowl in Orlando.
The Bulldogs will be making their 49th appearance in a bowl game, and they sport a record of 27-18-3. Georgia is 2-0-1 in previous trips to Jacksonville for the Gator Bowl. Georgia's last appearance at the Gator Bowl came in 1989, a 34-27 win over Michigan State in Vince Dooley's final game as the Bulldogs' coach.
ESPN2 will broadcast the Gator Bowl with kickoff set for noon at EverBank Field.
