Chad Simmons' Take: Brown has been focused on North Gwinnett football the last few months, so he has only talked to Georgia a couple of times since it offered in November. He has said that he would like to take a visit to Georgia, so we will see if that happens in January once the dead period ends. If anyone can turn Brown from Missouri, it is likely UGA. The Dawgs have not pull the full-court press on yet, so if it decides to, things could get interesting.
Chad Simmons' Take: The top prospect in Georgia has been high on UGA's board for quite some time and he knows it. Georgia had him on their campus four times for games in the fall, he talks to Mark Richt among other coaches each week, and he feels very comfortable in Athens. Georgia is in a good place right now and the school others are chasing. He will announce on signing day, so don't expect it to be an easy ride for Georgia.
Chad Simmons' Take: He lives right down the street from Auburn, his father signed with Auburn to play football out of high school, and the Tigers are playing for the national championship - Auburn is and has been trending here. Georgia has been in the thick of this for months now and the family really likes Richt and Todd Grantham, but this one will be difficult. The season Auburn had really changed the way Evans looked at AU. This time a year ago, he didn't think Auburn would even be on his list.
Chad Simmons' Take: Game on here. Georgia has come on strong and really turned it up on Green. Georgia sent four coaches into his home just days after coaches were allowed to. He is a former South Carolina commitment, but I give Georgia a slight edge now. He will likely visit both South Carolina and Georgia officially in January, host both teams inside his home multiple times, and then make the call.
Chad Simmons' Take: Once Auburn finally got Russell on their campus for the Iron Bowl, it had a big affect on him. Rodney Garner continued to recruit Russell despite him being committing to Georgia and it may pay off in the end. Russell is a very reserved young man, but Auburn is the school he is leaning towards as we approach Christmas. Georgia is not giving up and it looks like he will visit Georgia officially in January, but Russell committing at any time to Auburn would not be a shock. Georgia has some work to do here.
