Just Work Hard

ATHENS - 2015 defensive end Anree Saint-Amour was in Stegeman Coliseum for a big win this weekend--just not football.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound defender from North Gwinnett High School was in attendance for the beginning of the game, but had to leave just before sophomore guard Charles Mann led his team to a 61-60 conference win in the final minute of Saturday's game with Ole Miss. Though it wasn't a late-game thriller in Sanford Stadium, Saint-Amour had a brief insight into the devotion of Georgia's fan base.

When Saint-Amour wasn't busy watching basketball, he had a chance to meet with various members of Georgia's defensive coaching staff.

"I talked to Coach (Mike) Ekeler and Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt," Saint-Amour said. "They were just talking about the scheme and everything. It's just going to be a different era at Georgia."

He also met with the head coach himself, Mark Richt.

"I think he's a good person; a real strong type of person," Saint-Amour said. "It was good."

Saint-Amour currently has offers from SEC schools like Missouri and Tennessee, but has not been offered by Georgia.

Saint-Amour said the schools he has had the most contact with as of late are Georgia, Missouri, Tennessee, Boston College and Northwestern. Regardless of the school he chooses, the rising senior says there's only one way to be productive on the defensive end.

"You know, just work hard and everything," Saint-Amour said.
