Texas OL Visiting UGA

Georgia sent two coaches into Texas last week before the evaluation period came to an end. They did not leave without offering a 2015 offensive lineman and now he plans to visit Athens...

Georgia recruiting in Texas?

It doesn't happen too often, but there is a few targets in 2015 and one is offensive tackle Connor Williams.

Mike Bobo (Offensive coordinator) and Will Friend (Offensive line) traveled into the Lone Star State last week and they spent time at Coppell High School.

Before leaving, 6-foot-5, 275 pound offensive tackle Connor Williams was offered a scholarship. He has a connection to the Peach State.

"I know a little about Georgia because my dad is from Georgia," said Williams. "My dad played football for Coach Bobo's dad in high school (West Rome). My grandfather still lives there too."

The offer from the Dawgs appeals to the three-star offensive tackle who has quickly emerged this spring as one of the best in the midlands at that position.

"I am visiting Georgia this summer." He will visit other schools too and he is starting to form a list of favorites in his mind.

"I kind of have a list, but I just haven't released it yet," said Williams.
