Jeremy Pruitt is making another push for a top defensive back.

This time Pruitt is after Jalen Thompson - a 3-star 2015 prospect out of Mobile, Ala.'s St Paul's Episcopal.

It looked like Florida had taken the lead for Thompson, but that's not as clear any more. Now it seems Georgia is at the top of his list - moving past the Gators.

"I had a great talk with Coach Pruitt, and I am loving the scheme he runs," Thompson said. "I also like the playing time I could have and how it is close to home. And I love the relationship me and and Coach Pruitt have."

Two days ago Thompson told Scout.com's John Garcia that he would decided on August 20th, which is a Wednesday.

"It's two days before the first game and I feel like that's a good day for me and my team to get it over with," He told Garcia. "Had to push it back, seems like the right thing to do."

Considered the #43 cornerback in the country, Thompson is "a smooth athlete" according to Scout.com analyst Chad Simmons.

"He really sinks his hips well and bursts out of the breaks," Simmons said. "He has long arms and he shows great anticipation when in coverage.
