Moon Talks Bulldog Future

Mississippi State has offered scores of offensive lineman for the 2015 signing class. The Bulldogs reeled in Signal Mountain, Tennessee big man Harrison Moon this week. The talented Moon has been ear marked to play offensive tackle on the Bulldogs front wall and the three star talent is eager about a future in Starkville.

"It's all just so awesome," said Moon of his decision to become a Bulldog. "I had never visited the campus before and it was even better than anything I was expecting.

"Mississippi State is a great academic school with a beautiful campus.

"The people there are just so personable and everybody makes you feel like you're at home.

"I loved everything about it."

Moon's best friend, Nick Tiano, committed to Mississippi State on Thursday.

While the talented Moon waited to pull the trigger on Friday, he admits to being ready before he actually made his decision known.

"After seeing the camps and then working out with Coach (John) Hevesy, I already knew that I was going to be going there," said Moon of Mississippi State. "Around the time, Nick committed, I knew that I was going to be committing.

"I think I pretty much knew this was where I wanted to go before I knew Nick was coming too."

Moon reports that the chance to spend his college years with best pal, Tiano, was sort of the icing on the recruiting cake.

"Nick is my best friend in the entire world," said Moon. "We have always talked about playing college football together.

"It just sort of worked out that it was Mississippi State for both of us and I couldn't be happier about it.

"Mississippi State is a great place and we get to play together.

"It was never a plan to play together, but we just thought it would be great if we could.

"I don't think things could have worked out any better."

Moon may have the chance to be the blind side protector for his best friend and future teammate in the future.

"Coach Hevesy is talking about me playing tackle," said Moon. "I am willing to play wherever the team needs me.

"We'll just have to see what happens when I get there."

The east Tennessee star had plans to make the summer camp rounds, but his agenda has now changed.

"I won't be going to any other camps," said Moon. "Mississippi State is the only school I will be visiting.

"I am done with recruiting and I am a Bulldog now.

"I am planning to come back for the Big Dawg camp.

"We start practice the next day, so I am not sure if I will work out at the Big Dawg camp or just hang out.

"I know I want to be there, so I can help do some recruiting and get some more great players to be Bulldogs."
