4-Star Jackson Flips from UConn to Dawgs

Mark Fox’s recruiting changes appear to be working.

Monday the Bulldogs got a commitment from Athens Christian guard Will Jackson, according to Evan Daniels of Scout.com.

The local product had been committed to national champs Connecticut since early February. He is one of the top players ever to have committed to the Bulldogs with Fox in charge. The four-star prospect is considered the #47 player in the country for the class of 2015.

Fox recently changed up his assistant coaches with the hope of attracting more talent. Jonas Hayes and Yasir Rosemond have both been added in the last year with the hope that recruiting would improve. That seems to be the case with Jackson’s commitment today.

The 6-5, 165-pound product plays AAU basketball for the Georgia Stars. In addition to the offer from UConn, Jackson has offers from Louisville and Ole Miss.
