Projected Starters: Junior Jay Rome
It’s kind of up in the air who will replace him, but at the moment it looks like Jay Rome. Rome’s season was cut to eight games last year, which resulted in just nine catches for a yard short of 100 total. Rome will be joined at the tight end position by redshirt freshman Jordan Davis as well as FB/TE Quayvon Hicks from time to time. Keep an eye on incoming freshman Jeb Blazevich, who has impressed in summer workouts.
This may be the most interesting position to watch throughout fall camp.
