TODAY: Georgia takes to the practice fields at 3:30 PM in shorts and helmets to kick off the 2014 season. But before that the Bulldogs will meet with the media starting at noon. Also, Friday is graduation day at the University for the summer session of 2014.
As always Dawg Post will have all of the coverage you need for the start of fall camp. Running play-by-play of the day's key events can be found just below, which should start about noon.

*** There is no timetable for Malcolm Mitchell, who had an arthroscopic procedure Thursday to address a cartilage injury. A full recovery is anticipated. Mitchell suffered an ACL last fall during the Clemson game.
*** The #113 player in the country, GAC ATH Darius Slayton tells Chad Simmons that he's close to committing: "I feel like I am pretty close. I feel like it is any day now." Georgia and Auburn are considered leaders over Florida, South Carolina and LSU.
*** Georgia has juggled its schedule slightly this morning due to rain.
*** Richt's update on Mitchell "First of all, won't make any guestimate on when he'll play.," Richt said.
Mitchell had a scope and Richt says "it's hard to say when he'll be back."
"It's kind of a pain in the rear, but it's part of football so we'll just adjust with the depth we have left over," Richt said. "We've got some good quality guys that know what they're doing, but Malcolm, it's sad not to have him practicing right now."
"His spirit is excellent and he's a positive guy," Richt said.
"We've got a bunch of guys that have a pretty good feel of what we're doing," Richt said. "I think we'll be good."
*** A few other Dawgs dealing with injuries:
- Keith Marshall ----- "I don't think he's gonna have any limitations," Richt said. "If he gets sore, we'll back him down, but there's not a drill right now he's excluded from."
- Jay Rome ---- He may miss a few drills.
- Justin Scott-Wesley ------- "I'm not sure when he's going to play a game of football for us, but we think it'll be this season," Richt said.
*** Richt on linebacker Davin Bellamy...
"Bellamy made a mistake. It was stupid, he's remorseful, but he's not a bad person," Richt said.
Richt told Bellamy he wasn't glad he made the mistake, but he's glad he made it at this time in his life and could learn from it before it could affect him down the road - for example, if he was a grown man with a family.
*** As far as first-year running backs go (i.e. Chubb and Michel), many are excited to see them in practice today. No. 1 running back Todd Gurley is one of those people. While Gurley has been around them a bit this summer, he has only really seen them in pass skel. Gurley is excited to see them, but mostly just eager to get back out on the field.
*** Mitchell's teammates on his injury status...
- Michael Bennett and Chris Conley spoke a few minutes after Richt on Mitchell's status and how it affect Georgia entering camp.
While Mitchell's injury is no good news for the Dawgs, Conley still says this group has the potential to be the best receiving corps in the nation.
- Bennett and quarterback Hutson Mason talked about how they feel for Mitchell, and this many continuous setbacks is never easy on a player.
- According to Mason, the potentially helpful news for Mitchell is that he won't have to worry about classes being in session for the next 17 days, and instead will have time for continuous rehab.
