Wilson Misses Practice

ATHENS - One of Georgia’s top defensive players and a top newcomer missed practice time Monday.

First-team All-SEC pick Ramik Wilson wasn’t dressed out for practice. The senior inside linebacker who had 133 tackles last season sat under the trainer’s shed watching during a portion of the media viewing period, but his specific injury was unclear.

A Georgia spokesman said information about what kept Wilson from practicing will be available on Tuesday.

Trainers were also called over early in practice to the secondary area to attend to junior college transfer cornerback Shattle Fenteng. He left with director of sports medicine Ron Courson due to an apparent hand injury. No information was provided on his injury either.

Outside linebacker Leonard Floyd practiced in a non-contact jersey.
