What makes Vaitai an impact player?

The TCU offensive line is going to factor in to this team's success, or lack of, no matter what. With a dismal 2013 season now squarely in the rearview mirror, the Frogs hope their new look line can help change their fortunes in 2014. Halapoulivaati Vaitai is one of the key cogs that will be counted on heavily. The 6'6" 320 pound junior has a massive wingspan and really good feet, and now, it's time to put it all together.

Vaitai drew starts against West Virginia and Texas a year ago but TCU will need him to be a leader on the line of scrimmage this season in every game. A highly sought after recruit, Vaitai needs to realize his full potential as he enters his 3rd year in the program. It can no longer be said that he's a younger lineman, its time for the Haltom City, TX product to rise up and take a leadership roll and teach the younger guys how it's supposed to be done.

If Vaitai plays up to his enormous potential, the Frogs offense has a chance to be light years better than it was in 2013. With plenty of experience under his belt, Vaitai can now stop thinking as much and just play. That single change could lead to being more aggressive and ultimately becoming the player TCU hoped they signed in the class of 2012.
