“Usually you can add .25 to them,” Davis said.
The 6-foot Davis said he now weighs 175.
He had 11 catches for 257 yards and a touchdown last season.
Mitchell missed all of last season after tearing an ACL in the opener against Clemson.
“I feel sorry for him because I know he loves this sport just as much as I do and he wants to be out there,” Davis said. “He’s just having some adversity right now, but as of right now, everybody is just stepping up to the plate trying to make plays and get this offense going.”
Davis is aiming for more consistency and to be more fundamentally sound.
“Everybody here has the skill set, but what separates you is fundamentals,” Davis said.
