The Throwback: Getting Green

Today's Throwback Story of the Day features a player who has had to be more than versatile during his time at Georgia, and that's J.J. Green.

Here's a look at Green on the day he joined high school teammate Brice Ramsey by committing to Georgia.


ATHENS – Brice Ramsey has a high school teammate joining him in silver britches.

Camden County athlete J.J. Green has committed to Georgia. He texted the news to Fox Sports Next's Chad Simmons Monday afternoon.

The commitment gives Georgia 14 commitments for the class of 2013 – tied with Florida for the most in the SEC at this time. It is also Georgia's second commitment of the day – South Gwinnett linebacker Reggie Carter picked the Bulldogs as well. Green is Georgia's sixth overall commitment in the last five days.
