Jefferson breaks down final 4

The top-rated senior wide receiver in the Volunteer State wants to concentrate on his final season on the prep level. That means making a college decision.

SMYRNA, Tenn. — With his senior season underway, Van Jefferson wants to concentrate on helping Ravenwood (Tenn.) High School trip deep into the TSSAA state playoffs.

In his 2014 season opener, Jefferson caught two touchdown passes, including a 25-yarder, but didn't play a down from scrimmage in the second half considering the Raptors had an insurmountable lead and cruised to a 56-14 win.

After the contest, Jefferson talked about the improvements he's made over the summer after taking part in The Opening and spoke about his impending declaration. The Scout four-star says he will choose between Florida, Georgia, Ohio State and Tennessee possibly as soon as next week.
