Sandy Creek’s plan the entire game was to use their running game to wear down the Archer defense, and Tuitt was a big reason for their success. Sandy Creek RB Eric Sweeney rushed for over 220 yards for the night, with most of his carries running to the right side behind Tuitt. Tuitt routinely pushed the Archer defensive linemen backward, recording multiple pancakes. I did not see one bad play from Tuitt all night. He beat his man every play, especially in the 2nd half. At halftime Sandy Creek was down 13-0, but they continued to run the football, and became more and more successful. Tuitt was a big reason Swinney had the big game that he did. He is an excellent run blocker, and pass blocked very well to on the few occasions where Sandy Creek put the ball in the air.
Tuitt also played some on the defensive line, mainly when Archer was in the red zone. In the 2nd quarter, Archer had 1st and goal from the 3, and Tuitt, along with the Sandy Creek defense, stopped Archer for no gain on the first 3 plays. Archer then scored on 4th down, but Tuitt made a strong impression.
Overall, Tuitt had a great game for Sandy Creek, and showed why he has multiple SEC offers. He is tall enough to play tackle in college, with the frame to add more muscle. Tuitt has the potential to be a very good prospect, and had a very good game on Friday night.
