Dawg Post Recruiting Notes

Dawg Post's recruiting news and notes from the first off weekend of the year.

I was at Langston Hughes Friday night for the Grayson game. Here are a few notes on some of those prospects:

- UGA commit Justin Young is excited to be a Dawg. Loved the atmosphere last weekend and cannot wait to play for Rocker. Showed good quickness off the ball last night. Can play outside or inside at UGA.

- Grayson Jr DL MyKelle McDaniel has Georgia as his leader -- Uga Leads BIG IMO. He has thought about committing a couple of times and he and his family have been on campus numerous times in recent months.

- Auburn commit Montavious Atkinson is a PLAYER. Liked him A LOT Friday night. He still has interest in UGA and an official visit to UGA is "likely". Georgia wants him.

- D'Andre Walker is a F-R-E-A-K. He had at least four sacks last night after having five in the first two games. He was being triple-teamed some in the second half. He is so explosive, he is stronger than expect, and he has really improved against the run. He can chase that ball with the best of them too. Auburn, Georgia, and Tennessee are the three schools he is truly considering. I give UGA the slight edge TODAY, but it is VERY close.

- BMac was there... Stopped by early in the day, then was there from an hour before kickoff to the final buzzer. He was giving Atkinson a VERY long look from the sideline. Seemed very interested based on what I could tell from the stands.

Notes are from Chad Simmons...
