Bellamy 'got better' during suspension

ATHENS - There will be added depth at outside linebacker this week.

That's because redshirt freshman Davin Bellamy is coming off a two-game suspension for a DUI on July 26.

Bellamy had a “very good camp,” coach Mark Richt said recently.

“He was very remorseful for what happened,” Richt said. “He took his discipline like a man. He didn’t try to get out of anything or whine or moan. He knew he had let the team down and his family down and himself down and coaches down and Georgia football down. He just went to work every day and kept his mouth shut and I think he got better.”

Georgia’s outside linebackers struggled getting a pass rush on South Carolina quarterback Dylan Thompson on Saturday.

Gamecocks left tackle Corey Robinson was named Monday as the SEC offensive lineman of the week.
