Roundtree sees UGA before decision

Decision date is November 7 and UGA does not play at home again before that date, so this was Rashad Roundtree's final look at the Dawgs before he commits...

"They (Georgia coaches) made me feel wanted," Rashad Roundtree told Scout after his visit to Georgia Saturday.

That is important. Roundtree is a big target for the Bulldogs and his visit to Athens, Ga. Saturday will be his final one before he announces his decision Friday November 7.

Roundtree was offered by Georgia early. He is an in-state target out of Evans-Lakeside, he is a safety (Georgia needs big help in the secondary), and he is considered a big need in this class by many connected to UGA.

"Georgia is still up there," said Roundtree. "Nothing has really changed. Georgia, Duke, Ohio State, and some others are still up there. I am getting close to a decision."

The four-star safety spent Saturday between the hedges and the coaches made sure they showed him that in-person recruiting love.

"Coach [Jeremy] Pruitt (Defensive coordinator) talked to me and he was telling me how bad they need me. I had a meeting with Coach [Mark] Richt (Head coach) too -- he talked to me and he just wants what is best for me.

"The coaches were just glad to get me back to visit one more time before my commitment date and it was great there."

No other visits are scheduled at this time for the No. 6 safety in the country. The 6-foot-1, 195 pound senior said he could visit Ohio State before he announces his decision in just over a month.
